The heat map shows a New Zealand map and identifies the top 15 regions with the highest number of active or provisional KiwiSaver members.  As at June 2017, there are 2,761,005 KiwiSaver members.

• 34.0% of the members have recorded addresses within Auckland region.
• 12.2% of the members have recorded addresses within Canterbury region.
• 10.8% of the members have recorded addresses within Wellington region.
• 8.5% of the members have recorded addresses within Waikato region.
• 5.9% of the members have recorded addresses within Bay of Plenty region.
• 4.5% of the members have recorded addresses within Manawatu-Wanganui regions.
• 4.3% of the members have recorded addresses within Otago region.
• 3.4% of the members have recorded addresses within Hawkes Bay region.
• 2.2% of the members have recorded addresses within Taranaki region.
• 1.4% of the members have recorded addresses within Nelson/Tasman regions.
• 1.9% of the members have recorded addresses within Southland region.
• 0.6% of the members have recorded addresses within West Coast regions.
