The income brackets in the graph include income details for each tax year before each financial year.  The horizontal axis represents financial years 2008 to 2017

  • Between June 2008 and June 2017, the number of members who earned between $1 to $20,000 increased from 204,017 to 602,294.
  • Between June 2008 and June 2017, the number of members who earned between $20,001 to $40,000 increased from 180,820 to 479,839.
  • Between June 2008 and June 2017, the number of members who earned between $40,001 to $60,000 increased from 113,055 to 474,661.
  • Between June 2008 and June 2017, the number of members who earned between $60,001 to $80,000 increased from 46,134 to 279,809.
  • Between June 2008 and June 2017, the number of members who earned between $80,001 to $100,000 increased from 17,678 to 130,200.
  • Between June 2008 and June 2017, the number of members who earned between $100,001 to $120,000 increased from 8,575 to 60,864.
  • Between June 2008 and June 2017, the number of members who earned more than $120,000 increased from 14,647 to 105,471.
